Diani Dreamscape #2 (Original Painting)
Grevy zebra's are rare and timid. Their ears are big and their stripes are thin. Most people don't even know they exist. It's okay if you feel like a Grevy, sometimes I do too.
Painted intuitively during the full-moon on the coast of Kenya in May 2026. The canvas was kindly prepped and primed by a local artist close-by. The painting traveled from tuk-tuk, to twin-jet, to old land-cruiser. Once finished, finding itself all the way back on Vancouver Island after being rolled up in a tube, stowed in jet coat closets, & stuffed in my backpack by strangers. Eventually to be re-stretched on a hot summers day over a wooden frame, handmade by my boyfriends grandpa.
Many hands helped me get it to where it is.
One of a kind. Letter & stamp of authenticity included.
Acrylic, pastel, and india ink on canvas, stretched over a handmade wooden frame.
