Diani Dreamscape #2 Print
Grevy zebra's are rare and timid. Their ears are big and their stripes are thin. Most people don't even know they exist. It's okay if you feel like a Grevy, sometimes I do too.
8" x 10" photo print
The original of this work was painted intuitively under a palm tree on the coast of Kenya in May 2026. The canvas was kindly prepped and primed by a local artist close-by. The painting traveled on-frame, wrapped in a beach towel with me half-finished on my journeys around the country, from tuk-tuk, to super-cub, to old land-cruiser. Once finished, finding itself all the way back on Vancouver Island after being rolled up in a tube, stowed in jet coat closets, & stuffed in my backpack by strangers. Eventually to be re-stretched on a hot summer's day over a wooden frame, handmade by my boyfriend's grandpa.
Many hands helped me get it to where it is.
